Gun Control

The history of human oppression and persecution is armed men violating
the natural rights of defenseless men, women, and children. All this
evil is made possible by “gun control”.

For example, it was gun control that allowed the government in National
Socialist Germany to arrest and kill millions of Jews and others. Gun
control allowed the Armenian genocide by the Turkish government. All
rapes and torture are made possible by gun control. The institution of
slavery and the lynching of negroes was made possible by gun control. It
was gun control that allowed the extermination of the Plains Indians as
a favor to the railroad barons. Likewise, it was gun control that
allowed fascist thugs to transform the “land of the free” into the
world’s leading police-prison state by jailing millions of the poor and
powerless. And, as gun control continues to expand, the number of
victims of unjust laws and brutal enforcement continue to grow. Today,
no one is safe except for the very rich, powerful, or politically
connected. Military-style assaults against peaceful people are now
taking place in every city and town across this country. Being labeled
as a “gun traffiker” or “drug traffiker” in fascist Amerika is like
being labeled a Jew in nazi Germany.

In a free society with unrestricted access to guns, the current
illegalization wars being conducted against the poor, powerless, and
many others would not be possible. Widespread violations of natural
rights are not possible when the target population is armed. That is the
reason why George Washington (our first President) described an armed
population as “liberty’s teeth”. That is the reason why the targets of
persecution must first be disarmed. That is the reason why members of
the underclass are routinely stopped, searched, and thrown into prison
for just possessing a gun even though they have a Constitutional right
to do so. (In the words of Thomas Jefferson, “No free man shall be
denied the use of arms.”)

Of course, the peaceful solution to violence and oppression is to
restore freedom. Abolish the thousands of laws that criminalize peaceful
behavior and natural rights. Acknowledge the simple truth that it is wrong
to assault, rob, arrest, or kill peaceful human beings who have harmed
no one. The police should only be authorized to arrest real criminals
who commit real crimes such as theft, assault, and disturbing the peace.

Americans need to know that the people who founded this country were
smugglers, gun owners, and tax resistors. These champions of natural
rights did not recognize the authority of any government to interfere
with honest trade, peaceful behavior, or the right to bear arms.
Ultimately, they refused to be stopped and searched for guns and
contraband. These facts are the foundation of the American Revolution.
They are also the origin of the Second and Fourth Amendments, the heart
and soul of this former Republic.

"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the
subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who
have allowed the subject races to carry arms have prepared their own
downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the
supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of
any sovereignty." -- Adolf Hitler

"Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA --
ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve
the State." -- Heinrich Himmler; Reichsführer-SS

"A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny
gun ownership to the bourgeoisie." -- Vladimir Ilyich Lenin

"Gun control? It's the best thing you can do for crooks and gangsters. I
want you to have nothing. If I'm a bad guy, I'm always gonna have a gun.
Safety locks? You'll pull the trigger with a lock on, and I'll pull the
trigger. We'll see who wins." -- Sammy "The Bull" Gravano, Mafia hit man

"If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable
to shoot back with your own gun." -- The Dalai Lama, (May 15, 2001, The
Seattle Times) speaking at the "Educating Heart Summit" in Portland,
Oregon, when asked by a girl how to react when a shooter takes aim at a
classmate.

"I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the
people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them."-- George
Mason

"There was perfect gun control in the concentration camps. No inmate ever
shot another." -- D. G. Lesvic

"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be
to permit the conquered Eastern peoples to have arms. History teaches
that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms
have prepared their own downfall by doing so." -- Adolf Hitler

"As civil rulers, not having their duty to the people, duly before them,
may attempt to tyrannize, and as the military forces which shall be
occasionally raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to
the injury of their fellow-citizens, the people are confirmed by the
next article in their right to keep and bear their private arms."
-- Tench Coxe

"The great object is that every man be armed.... Everyone who is able may
have a gun.... Are we at last brought to such a humiliating and debasing
degradation that we cannot be trusted with arms for our own defense?"
-- Patrick Henry

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and
bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves from tyranny in
government." -- Thomas Jefferson

"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they
should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of
independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would
include their own government." -- George Washington

"When only cops have guns, it's called a "police state". -- Claire Wolfe

"The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be
properly armed." -- Alexander Hamilton

"Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look
upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest."
-- Mohandas Gandhi

"One of the ordinary modes, by which tyrants accomplish their purposes
without resistance, is, by disarming the people, and making it an
offense to keep arms." -- Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story

"The right of self-defense is the first law of nature: in most
governments it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within
the narrowest limits possible. Wherever standing armies are kept up, and
when the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any color
or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated,
is on the brink of destruction." -- Henry St. George Tucker
